Johannes
Grewe is a former West German Police Officer and K-9 handler.
Johannes became a member of the SV 1964 and was a SV Schutzhund
Judge in Germany from 1974 to 1981. In 1981 Johannes immigrated
with his wife and their three children to the United States.
He is a member of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America since 1981 and has held offices on local, regional and national level.
Johannes became USA's first conformation judge in 1997 and was appointed breed survey judge in 2002. He served for 4 years as USA's
National Breed Warden. He became a USA working dog judge in 2002 and was recognized by the FCI as a working dog judge in 2006.
Since 1994 Johannes has trained and titled 19 dogs with a total of 33 titles. He competed in the North American Championship, in 3
European Championships and the first WUSV World Championship. He has earned the USA Gold Sports Medal.
Johannes began breeding in Germany in 1970 under his SV registered kennel name "von den weissen Bergen." Eight dogs from his breeding
under this name were breed surveyed.
In 1990 Johannes registered "vom Sunland" with USA and began breeding in the US. As of today, he has bred a total of 26 breed
surveyed dogs, 21 in KKL1 and 5 in KKL2. Eleven of these dogs received the rating of excellent. Johannes has been a Breed Warden in
Germany and also in the USA. Johannes has also earned the USA Breeders Medal in Gold
Johannes has judged numerous trials on the local and regional level, as well as 4 USA Sieger Shows and assignments in China,
Canada, Venezuela, Philippines and Chile
