If you ever come out to train with DFW Working Dogs you may hear some
very technical language. Here is an explanation of some of the terms:
- African Wild Dog
- A Dutch Shepherd.
- Crappen Woppen
- An affectionate term for a dog which is a little work-challenged.
A 1-1 linebred Crappen Woppen is VERY work-challenged.
- Crappen Tracken
- A dog whose nose does not always work in the way his handler would
like.
- He's Biting Me!
- A helpful note from the decoy to explain to the handler that they
may be a little slow to correct their dog when he is nibbling the sleeve.
- He's Crazy!
- He has a lot of drive.
- He's Not Heeling!
- These helpful words are shouted from the sidelines, to explain to
the handler that they are a little delinquent in the art of dog training.
- Sheperois
- (Pronounced 'Sheperwa') A German Shepherd which acts like a mallinois.
